Eat this, FastFood breakfast!

**Even though I don’t encourage fast food, sometimes it’s just unavoidable and necessary when you’re on long road trips, starving, in between athletic events, don’t have time to go anywhere else, etc. So I’ve pulled out a few items from some of the most common fast food restaurants. It’s an “eat this not that” kind of post. It entertains me to see how crazy some menu items can be, so let’s check it out!**

Sometimes we just don’t know what is and isn’t healthy at a fast food restaurant. The “healthiest” looking item may be your worst enemy. Most people consider salads the healthiest choice, but is a taco salad really healthy? Well, you’ve got your beans-protein, greens-veggies, meat-protein, and cheese-dairy, you’re set!…but not so fast- there’s the fried shell that comes with it, the overload of sodium from the beef in the salad, the cheese may contain a whole ton of fat, and even though I don’t like sour cream, if you get that, you’re piling on even more fat. So when you compare that to a simple taco….it’s a nutritious disaster! Anyways, this EAT THIS/NOT THAT post is about fast-food breakfasts.

    1. i love home made egg & englishmuffins. they’re packed with protein and taste awesome with reduced fat melted cheese! thank you for you appreciation, i hope you’re having a great day! 🙂

  2. I hardly ever eat fast food, preferring to pack my meals each day. However as you said, it is sometimes necessary. If I do eat fast food while traveling, it is likely to be Chic Fil-A or Subway. I have not eaten ANYTHING on McDonald’s menu in over 3 years (probably owing more to Supersize Me, than anything.) They are the worst! Even their oatmeal has tons of sugar and added junk. It’s definitely a no-brainer.

    1. Agreed! And yes I think super size me is so fascinating! However I love making my own sandwiches at subway, but sometimes you have to watch out for all the sodium they add in their sauces! Hope you have an awesome day thanks for stopping by!

  3. Thanks for writing this! I really struggle sometimes being a healthy eater and then being caught out. Eg Road trips. It just a nice positive msg that no matter what you can always try your best 🙂

    1. of course (: I definitely agree! some of my best tips for eating out, is always have the dressings on the sides, order grilled for any meat, hold the butter or creamy sauces on meals, order whole WHEAT (not whole grain) grains, and opt for veggies as sides instead of friend dishes! I hope you have an awesome week, thanks for commenting and visiting my blog 🙂

  4. Hi! Great information! Sometimes feel like eating crappy food but I should read your blog before I buying them… Thank you for visiting my blog. I will definitely check your blog time to time!
