Sometimes it’s hard to find time to workout and sometimes we just don’t want to work out. In this post I’ll provide easy ways to burn 100 calories, and if you see how easy it is, then you can do these small workouts multiple times though out the day and have a “fat-burning day.” We know it’s easy to eat 100 calories, but how easy is it to burn them off? Well, lets see-
Easy 100’s
1. Walking — The easiest and one of the most natural movements known to human beings. Fifteen minutes of brisk walking will burn approximately 100 calories. A brisk daily walk at lunch time or after work will make a difference.
2. Vacuuming — 25 minutes of vacuuming around your home will burn just about 100 calories.
3. Dancing — 20 minutes of dancing at a moderate pace will burn 100 calories. C’mon, you know you love to do it, so have some fun with it.
4. Weight training — 15 minutes of vigorous weight training will burn approximately 100 calories. You don’t have to workout forever. Just three 15 to 20 minute sessions per week will keep your bones strong, muscles tight — and you’ll keep burning calories after your workout.
5. Take the stairs — If you work in an office building, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Approximately 20 minutes will burn about 100 calories. You don’t have to do it all at one time. Just make sure to spread it out during the day.
6. Plant a garden — Grow your own garden to eat healthier and burn off an extra 105 calories for 25 minutes spent digging around in the dirt.
8. STAND UP!!- spend 40 minutes of your day standing, not sitting at your desk…break it into intervals of 10 minutes!
9. Go shopping 🙂 – search the racks at your favorite stores and try on clothes to burn 100 calories in about thirty minutes.

Great advice! It’s easier than you think to burn calories – just takes a little activity. If you combine that activity with good food choices, you’re definitely on your way to better health!

Great read! What I do to burn a few calories? Plyometrics! Just some simple push ups, sit up, burpees, weightless squats. 🙂
plyo work outs are definitely my favorite calorie burning exercises! Thank you for the comment, have an awesome weekend!

One great exercise tip is to ‘deep breathe’… I hear it can burn off a few more calories, and the health benefits are huge….

Thank you so much, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
Love the advice!
My friend recently got a standing desk at her work (she is usually there like 9 or 10 hours). She said it helped her posture and core (but you need a special mat to be standing all day, too).
that sounds like an awesome addition for an office. I would get completely bored if I had to sit 10 hours straight,I already have a hard time sitting in school all day 😉 Have a good weekend!
You can also try sitting on an exercise ball at your desk if you don’t feel like standing all day. Great way to burn calories, help your posture, and strengthen your core.
That sounds like a great idea! Thank you for the suggestion, i hope you have an awesome day!
I just got a new Dyson vacuum cleaner and I have found myself vacuuming EVERY day! lol. It is good to know that I am also burning calories while vacuuming. Killing two birds with one stone.
haha, very productive!
Great tips. A night of dancing is fun and burns calories too.
Completely agree, a great way to have fun and be fit! Have an awesome day 🙂
I agree with this list! thanks for checking out other tips too! 🙂
Great advice! I am with you on getting out and moving. I avoid the escalators whenever I can. It never ceases to amaze me at the airport how everyone gets on the people movers. After sitting on a plane for hours, the last thing I want to do is stand still on a conveyor belt….even with my hand luggage, I try to take the stairs or walk beside the people mover. Somehow, it helps overcome all that sitting on planes!
Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. I completely agree, I don’t like traveling at all, it makes me feel so sluggish after sitting all day! Happy holidays!
